There are numerous reasons why
you want your students to be involved in The Concept-Ohio
Charter Schools Science & Engineering Fair:
- The science fair projects have great potential for
building a student's self-confidence by allowing for
individualized attention and the expression of individual
differences.
- Students who do not achieve the highest levels academically
may shine in the course of doing such projects. This
success should carry over to other areas in the regular
classroom and proficiency tests as well.
- The students will also develop their reading, writing
and communication skills during the course of these projects.
- It is a great opportunity for the parents to be more
involved in their child's education by helping them with
their projects.
- It is an excellent way to a bring large number of parents,
grandparents, and other community members together to
provide an opportunity for them to see something tangible
that indicates your students are learning science, math,
and computer skills in school.
- By attending The Concept-Ohio Charter Schools Science & Engineering
Fair, you will be supporting the charter school movement
in Ohio as well.
The Fair is going to be held on Saturday, March 1,
2008 at Cleveland State University.
All the Ohio Charter Schools should receive an essential
information packet in the mail. For any questions or further
information, contact Mr. Akkaya from akkaya@hsas.org
